and a brother Justin.
He graduated from Canton High School in 2003.

"My brother was proud to be a Marine. No matter how hard anyone tried to talk him out of it, he was the first to say, 'Yes, I am a Marine," said Shayne's brother, Justin.

"I will remember the hero he turned into. I will see you in heaven my friend, my sweetheart, my brother. I want to pray for the other soldiers who remain out there, let's pray for them," said Shayne's sister, Brandy.
